Meet Dr. Christopher Henniger

Dr. Christopher Henniger is a highly skilled restorative and implant dentist whose extensive training, precision, and compassionate approach have earned him the trust of patients throughout San Diego. One of only five percent of restorative dentists in the United States certified by the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology to perform IV sedation dentistry, Dr. Henniger offers patients a comfortable, stress-free dental experience, especially those who struggle with dental anxiety or require complex treatments such as dental implant placement. His advanced training allows patients to relax while receiving the high-quality, life-changing dental care they deserve.

After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of South Carolina, Dr. Henniger obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed a rigorous General Practice Residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, where he focused on oral surgery, complex restorative dentistry procedures, and dental anesthesia. His service as the sole dentist aboard the USS Boxer during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009 further strengthened his clinical expertise, leadership, and ability to deliver care under challenging conditions.

Today, Dr. Henniger continues to bring that same dedication and precision to his patients in private practice. He holds hospital privileges at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas and Tri-City Medical Center, where he provides comprehensive restorative and implant dentistry. Using advanced CBCT imaging technology, he creates precise 3D models of patients’ teeth and jaw structures, allowing him to plan and place dental implants with the highest level of accuracy and safety.

Dr. Henniger’s professional affiliations reflect his ongoing commitment to excellence. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Master of the Academy of Sedation Dentistry, and a Qualified Dentist of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. In addition, he is a Conscious Sedation Permit Holder and On-Site Inspector for the Dental Board of California.
