Our own Dr. Jason Keckley recently became licensed to deliver oral conscious sedation techniques here at Pomerado Cosmetic Dentistry. This distinction makes Dr. Keckley one of only 1% of dentists in the nation who are qualified to administer conscious sedation dentistry. After pursuing continuing dental education at DOCS Education, Dr. Keckley earned his license to practice oral conscious sedation dentistry to help relieve the fears and anxieties many patients have about dental work.

Dental anxiety is a very common issue, and for some people, the sights, smells, sounds, and feelings associated with dental visits make them so nervous they avoid necessary treatment. Oral conscious sedation is one of many sedation dentistry techniques available at our practice to help patients overcome their fears. By taking a small pill before your procedure, you can experience your treatment in a state of deep relaxation. Oral conscious sedation does not put you in a deep sleep – you will be able to communicate with our dental professionals during treatment. However, it will put you in such a tranquil state that you will likely have no memory of the procedure taking place once it’s finished.
